## Moon Landing

The first private spacecraft to successfully land on the Moon is the Odysseus spacecraft, built by [Intuitive Machines](https://www.intuitivemachines.com/) in Houston, Texas. It landed near the lunar south pole on February 22, 2024, marking the first private Moon landing and the first U.S. lunar lander since 1972.

There were private (rich) people before who got to go into space... what's different this time is that the launches, the vehicles, the passengers everything is private companies.
